High School Update October 2022
NO COSTUMES IN THE HIGH SCHOOL FOR HALLOWEEN.
Exceptional Huskies! Congratulations to Canaan Shofner, Jacquelin Morena, Nathan Delaney and Roberto Salazar as Exceptional Students of the Month for September. These students are great examples of what it means to be “MARSING-Respectful-Responsible-Ready”.
End of Quarter 1: Grading period ends Oct 20th. Report cards to be mailed home Wed Oct 26th.
HS After School Detention: Any HS student who has earned 3 or more tardies this quarter will be contacted to attend “After School Detention” for 1 hr on Wed Oct 26th. **If students are required to attend and do not without making arrangements with Mr. Porter, they will receive additional accountability measures throughout the week.**
Blood Drive: Nov 15th HS Office
Student Council will be sponsoring a blood drive here in the High School. Contact Mr Hamblin with any questions.
HS Athletics:
HS Volleyball/Cross Country/Cheer/Football Ends: Congratulations to all Coaches, staff and athletes on completing another season. Their hard work and enthusiasm through the fall season is appreciated.

Student Reminders:
Attendance Policy: 7 Day Limit-This includes Excused and Unexcused Absences. Students with over 7 absences in any class will be at risk of losing credit and required to petition in order to earn credit.
We Are A Closed Campus: Student Safety is our priority. This includes our parking lot for HS Students during the school day.
Student Phones: Students will not be allowed to use phones during class time. Students' phones should not be visible during class time.
Hats/Hoodies: Please remind your students that hats/hoodies (covering head) should not be worn inside the building. *Hooded sweatshirts are allowed-just don’t wear the hood*
