Back to School Plan Information:
At last night’s Board Meeting, the Board voted to transition the
District’s status from “Green” to “Yellow”. This change allows for
more restrictions to be put into place if conditions would require
them. At this point, no additional modifications have been made to
our current procedures.
The Board also approved an official addition to the Back to School
Plan. The masking status of the Marsing School District will continue
as “Recommended”. This status has been in effect since the district
re-opened in August 2019 of last school year. The Board feels
strongly that this status should not change; however, there are
special situations where modification to that rule can be applied. If a
student is sent to the office with COVID related symptoms, the
student will be asked to wear a mask while in the designated sick
area and in close proximity to staff or students until a parent arrives
to pick up the student. This special modification to the
“Recommended Only Mask Rule” is a procedure to protect students
and staff in the area from potential COVID symptom exposure.

Students or staff with COVID symptoms during school hours will be sent to the office and isolated from others. Students who have been sent to the office due to potential COVID symptoms will be required to wear a mask when in a designated area and in close proximity of other students or staff until a parent arrives and the student can be released to the parent.
Although Masks are only recommended in all other areas of the school, masking requirements for students sent to the office with symptoms is a procedure to protect all staff and students in the area from potential COVID symptom exposure.
·Student’s or staff will be sent home and parents of students will be provided
