NOTICE OF TRUSTEE VACANCY
Due to the resignation of Trustee Luke Ankeny, from Zone 3, on the evening of January 8, 2024, the Board of Trustees of MARSING JOINT SCHOOL DISTRICT #363 declared a vacancy for Zone 3 on January 8, 2024 and is commencing the process to fill this vacancy.
- Zone 3 encompasses:
BEGINNING at the intersection of US Highway 95 and State Highway 55; thence
Easterly along said State Highway 55 (Main Street) to North Bruneau Highway; thence
Northwesterly along said North Bruneau Highway to Simpkins Lane; thence
Easterly along said Simpkins Lane to left bank of the Snake River; thence
Southerly along said Snake River to State Highway 55 (Main Street); thence
Northeasterly along said State Highway 55 to the Snake River; thence
Southeasterly along said Snake River approximately 3 miles to the point of an Unnamed Driveway extended; thence
Westerly from said point to Old Bruneau Highway; thence
Northerly along said Old Bruneau Highway to Pershall Road; thence
Westerly along said Pershall Road to Marsing Murphy Road (State Highway 78); thence
Southerly along said Marsing Murphy Road to Howard Road; thence
Westerly along said Howard Road to Edison Road; thence
Northerly along said Edison Road to Pershall Road; thence
Westerly along said Pershall Road to US Highway 95; thence
Northerly along said US Highway 95 to State Highway 55 and the POINT OF BEGINNING.
- The individual selected to fill this term will serve the balance of the unexpired term, currently ending on 12-31-2025.
- The Board of Trustees has a period of 90 days from the declaration of the vacancy to fill this position with a qualified individual who resides within Zone 3. If this does not occur, the Board may appoint a person at-large from within the boundaries of the school district. Otherwise, after 120 days, the appointment shall be made by the board of the county commissions.
- The process that will be utilized by the Board of Trustees to fill this vacancy shall be:
Submit a letter of interest and resume of qualifications by March 6, 2024 to
