Marsing Community,
I am a coach and parent for Canyon County Composite Cycling (C4). Our team of over 30 athletes includes middle and high school girls and boys from 6th to 12th grade at all experience and ability levels. Some of the kids compete among the fastest in the state, while others simply enjoy being on their bikes with a great close-knit group of friends.
Our team is a composite of kids from less represented schools from the Nampa Caldwell areas through Owyhee County, to Kuna and Meridian. Some are home-schooled or are part of virtual schools. Other larger teams are identified by their high school, such as Boise, Capital, Timberline, and Eagle.
Many of our practices are held nearby at Wilson Creek trails off Highway 78.
We are hosting our first interest night of the season next Monday, April 10, from 6:15 to 7:15 pm. It will be at Rolling H Cycles in downtown Nampa (see attached flyer). This is an opportunity for students and their families to learn more. We anticipate another interest night towards the end of the school year. Riders are ALWAYS welcome!
The Idaho Interscholastic Cycling League (IICL) hosts high-quality cross-country style events (think cross-country track, NOT the extreme sports you may see on videos). IICL is the Idaho league under the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). We build strong bodies, minds, character, and communities through cycling. The league is fully insured with trained, licensed, and insured coaches to make it a safe, inclusive, and fun activity. See websites below for more.
