Pawcast Episode 11

Episode 11: Connecting Classrooms, Community, and Agriculture – The van Es Dairy Field Trip

What better way to learn about agriculture than to experience it firsthand? In this episode of the Husky Superintendent Pawscast, Superintendent Norm Stewart speaks with Marsing second-grade teacher Wendy Swenson and local dairy producer Hendrik van Es about a special partnership that has connected our students with the community for the past five years.

Through classroom lessons and an annual field trip to van Es Dairy, students learn where their food comes from, how a dairy operates, and the important role local agriculture plays in our community.

Tune in to hear how this hands-on learning experience brings classroom lessons to life, builds relationships, and shows the difference our community partners make in Marsing students' education.
